09.14.17 (Thursday) September Breakfast Meeting

Featuring Catholic Professional of the Year Marty Blair
Sponsored by Friends of Marty Blair

Details

Not all honors are well deserved, but the Catholic Business League’s selection for 2017 Business Professional of the Year—Marty Blair—warrants every bit of recognition and congratulations bestowed upon him.

Marty is currently a Partner and the COO of STAR Physical Therapy, where he has been for 15 years. With close to 70 locations throughout Tennessee and athletic trainers at over 50 high schools, STAR Physical Therapy is one of the largest privately owned medical practices in the state, and it’s been under Marty’s direction and operation that they’ve experienced such vibrant growth.

Holding a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tennessee Tech and an MBA from Jacksonville State, the well educated honoree previously spent 10 years as a Plant Manager and Vice President of Operations for American Greetings and previous decade of service with Moog Aerospace.

As impressive as Marty professional endeavors have been, it is his faith, service, and volunteering work that really set him apart from the crowd. He currently sits on a truly awesome number of boards, serving as a member for the Franklin Classic, Mercy Children’s Clinic, St. Henry Finance, the Franklin/Cool Spring YMCA, and the Franklin Boys and Girls Club.

To make the hours of the day stretch even further, Marty is also an RCIA sponsor, a SEARCH Parent, a Room at the Inn volunteer, and a founding member and volunteer of Charitable Constructors.

The Father Ryan rugby coach and St. Henry football coach has been happily married to his lovely wife Lucy, for 34 years, and is the proud father of Ryan (29) and Erin (27).

An obvious expert in time management and a man who is overwhelmingly dedicated to helping others in his community, the 2017 Catholic Business Professional of the Year is a very meritorious Marty Blair.
