We were thrilled to welcome a native Nashvillian, Robert Strobel of Parking Management Company (PMC), to our June meeting to discuss a topic that many of us have on our minds: parking in Nashville!
Strobel began by sharing some background about PMC, which was founded right here in Nashville in 1992 by fellow Catholic executive Tim Wilson. Now the second-largest parking company in the nation, PMC has expanded into 275 markets across 45 states, earning a feature on the Inc. 5000 list in each of the past three years as one of the top-40 travel and hospitality companies. Staying true to its roots, however, PMC has maintained Nashville as the home for its executive and corporate team, with more than 1,200 associates based in Music City.

As many of our members know, PMC has partnered with the Tennessee Titans and Nashville Soccer Club, managing the parking for Nissan Stadium and GEODIS Park. Strobel noted, though, that this partnership — like many of PMC’s — is a management of the parking spaces, rather than an ownership. PMC often leases the spaces and takes a share of the revenue generated from the parking, while the company that owns the land still keeps the remaining majority.
As a Catholic-founded company, PMC is intent on maintaining a strong presence in the community. Strobel noted the considerable increases to the company’s scholarship contributions and charitable funds, as well as PMC’s $250,000 fundraising goal for 2026, a 14% increase from 2025.
Strobel closed by tying his work to the passage in Exodus 31, where God said to Moses: “See, I have singled out Bezalel, son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah, and I have filled him with a divine spirit of skill and understanding and knowledge in every craft.” “Your skill is your gift,” Strobel said, one which God has purposefully given to each and every one of us for us to use in our own lives.
Thank you, Robert, for an insightful presentation, and we look forward to seeing all of our members for our next meeting on July 9 when we welcome a group of seminarians from the Diocese of Nashville!
