Adrienne Russell

I am a Nashville native who recently relocated back to her hometown after 15+ years! I love creative photography – especially with children and families. Being a contemporary photographer, with extensive training, allows me to truly express my artistic personality through my photography. The result – photography that makes both you and me happy! I am a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Master’s degree in Business Administration as well as Samford University. It was in my senior year of undergraduate work that I first discovered a passion for creative photography – using my mom’s old Canon. In those days (the stone ages!) we had to develop our own photos and there was no instant gratification like we have now – no Photoshop or photo editing. It was pure artistic photography talent. I got back into photography like many others when my children were born. I am the proud mom to four adorable girls and take as many photos of them as I can! I am a member of the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) and have served as a Teaching Assistant in the most advanced course offered on the wonderful forum, The Photographer Within. I have extensive training in creative photography, artistic photography, and lifestyle photography – and will always continue to refine my craft. I consider myself to be one of few contemporary photographers in the area – I stay on top of my game and am always, always learning. I have been honored to have my photographs featured on the highly competitive Giggles and Goldfish, The Monochromatic Lens, Snap Junkies, The Dark Room, Faradiddles, Angie Marie Photography, Everything for Photography, Euphoric Capture, Sweet Little Muse, Lemonade and Lenses, {Click}Style, Yip Yap Girl, little bellows, and Fleeting Lights. I was also amazed and humbled to have one of my photographs mentioned and complimented by the fabulous author of Click It Up a Notch’s Courtney Slazinik, whose Facebook page has over 48,000! subscribers. I am additionally delighted to be featured in the Professional Photographers of America’s “Faces of PPA” campaign. My Mission Statement: Nashville – I LOVE IT! There are so many cool and artistic areas to shoot around town, so many options…. I feel infinitely fortunate to be a part of capturing intimate, artistic, creative, and priceless moments in my clients’ lives. I believe in PATIENCE. As a mom of four young girls, patience is a necessity in life and one of the greatest strengths a contemporary photographer can have. I believe in going with the flow. “Creativity and Fun.” This is a special moment in time that will be captured forever – whether or not it is “perfect.” So let’s relax, have some fun, and make some great, artistic photography!
