The Catholic Business League is especially pleased to welcome Most Reverend J. Mark Spalding — the 12th Bishop of Nashville — to our next Breakfast Meeting on Thursday, August 13!

In the three years since his last visit to a CBL breakfast meeting, Bishop Spalding and the Diocese of Nashville have overseen the construction and opening of St. Michael Academy in Nolensville, the elevation of Sagrado Corazón de Jesús Church to an official parish of the diocese, and the construction and opening of the 23,000-square-foot Unity Hall at the Catholic Pastoral Center.

Catholicism in Nashville has grown by more than 50% under Bishop Spalding, from 84,000 in 2018 to 126,251 today. That change is particularly noticeable across the 19 Catholic schools in the diocese, which have increased their student populations by 14%, from 5,580 students in 2018 to 6,358 in 2026.

Much of this has been possible during Bishop Spalding’s eight-year episcopacy in the Diocese of Nashville through his success in shepherding the “A Legacy of Faith, Hope, and Love Capital Campaign,” which raised more than $51.6 million.

The meeting begins at 7:30 a.m. in the Fleming Center at The Cathedral of the Incarnation. Mass is offered at 7:00 a.m.
