04.13.23 (Thursday) Judy Komisky Orr’s Enlightening Discussion on Community Service
Details
Judy Komisky Orr, LMSW, the executive director of Catholic Charities for the Diocese of Nashville, will be the featured speaker for the Catholic Business League Breakfast Meeting on Thursday, April 13.
Judy will give an overview of the agency’s recent accomplishments as well as a preview of their upcoming annual fundraiser, Festival of Hope. She will also discuss her professional journey — which includes a successful decades-long career in public relations — and what prompted her to seek a master’s degree in a completely different field and subsequently alter her career path.
A Nashville native and Father Ryan alumna, Judy holds a bachelor’s degree in English from Vanderbilt University and a master’s degree from the University of Tennessee College of Social Work. She is licensed in the state of Tennessee. She is a member of the Father Ryan Board of Trustees. Judy’s previous professional experience includes 20 years as assistant vice-chancellor for creative services at Vanderbilt University, as well as time at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Ingram Book Company.
Judy and her husband Jay have three grown sons and three grandchildren. Outside of work, Judy enjoys exploring her ever-changing hometown of Nashville, and she is an avid flower gardener, sewer/tailor, bicyclist, and a voracious reader.
The meeting will begin at 7:45am in The Fleming Center at The Cathedral of the Incarnation. Mass is offered at 7:00am.
All are welcome!
