In celebration of their Anniversary, the Catholic Business League recognized this year’s “Catholic Professional of the Year.” The 2010 recipient is Bill Sinclair, Executive Director of Catholic Charities of Tennessee. Bill’s example of service and sacrifice exemplifies the vision of the Catholic Business League; “To connect, develop, and inspire Catholic Professionals to live their faith at work, at home, and in their community.”
In addition, the Catholic Business League gave a donation to the Endowment for the Advancement of Catholic Schools (EACS). The $4000 grant will go toward scholarships for needy families in local Catholic grade schools and is twice the amount provided last year.
“We are so pleased with the growth of the Catholic Business League,” said Greg Mays, president. “In just two short years we have made it to 250 members. Since we have been so blessed, we are giving back to the Catholic Community by these two actions.”
The Catholic Business League was formed to provide opportunities for Catholic Professionals to engage in fellowship, catechesis, service, and philanthropy. “There seems to be drive for adult formation in our area. People are looking for identity beyond their Parish ministries,” said Mays.
