Jack Polson, entrepreneur and philanthropist, drew a large crowd to the Catholic Business League’s April Breakfast Meeting on Thursday, April 14, to hear his talk about his business career, his successes and how his dedication to his faith direct’s his current entrepreneurial pursuits.

The Breakfast Meeting began with Jim Lussier, a Holy Family parishioner, sharing  his Witness Story, focusing on the importance of the Sacraments and the area’s Catholic ministries as the key elements in helping him understand, practice and celebrate his faith.

Jack, who serves on the boards of Father Ryan and Camp Marymount, talked about the success of his healthcare ventures–Psychiatric Solutions, Inc., and Acadia Health–both of which brought him the opportunity to start and grow sizable public companies in the healthcare world.  But he focused on how the demands of those types of businesses had him reassess his plans and refocus his life around his faith and those faith ideals.  The result was his leaving Acadia and starting each day with the anticipation of doing “something fun.”  Those enterprises include a beer company, a hotel, a paper company and the ability to commit his time to his board service and to programs like the Catholic Business League.
