Congratulations to Investor and Entrepreneur Jack Polson, who was named the 2016 Catholic Professional of the Year! Polson, who was the featured speaker at the Catholic Business League’s meeting in April, was presented the award at the League’s September Breakfast Meeting.

Each year, the Catholic Business League awards this honor to a deserving Catholic professional who is both involved in the Catholic community in Nashville and maintains success in their business ventures.

“Those who heard Jack speak at our April Breakfast Meeting discovered both his business success in a variety of fields and his deep Catholic faith,” Keller said. “That combination drives his entrepreneurial and philanthropic activities today and make him an outstanding choice for Catholic Business Person of the Year.”

In accepting the award, Polson said, “We are measured in the business world by our successes and our failures, and that is fair. But ultimately, we aren’t judged by how we succeed but by how we respond to our successes and failures. How we treat people is the true measurement of our achievement, and I proudly accept this honor as an expression of that approach, which is how I strive to work every day.”

Polson is currently pursuing interests in real estate development as well as investments in a Nashville brewing company, a staffing company, investments and board seats in a tree-free paper company, and a medical equipment company. He also serves on the Board of Trustees at Father Ryan High School and on the Board at Camp Marymount in Fairview, TN.

Before following his entrepreneurial calling, Polson served as CFO of Acadia Healthcare (NASDAQ: ACHC) since 2011 and helping it go public in 2012. He joined Acadia after 13 years with Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ: PSYS), where he served as Controller and Chief Accounting Officer, also helping it go public. He received his bachelor’s degree in accounting from LSU.
