We were pleased to welcome one of our largest crowds of 2024 to this morning’s Breakfast Meeting, as we were joined by Joe Hinderer (pictured, far left) and more than a dozen seminarians from the Diocese of Nashville!
Hinderer expressed immense gratitude for the Diocese and its parishioners, who have supported the seminarians — many of whom have arrived in Nashville from other parts of the world — by welcoming them during their time of formation. He and his fellow seminarians emphasized the friendship and camaraderie that they have shared, which they agree has been vital during their time in the seminary.
Hinderer did reference a recent shift in the program for seminarian formation, which places a bigger focus on firsthand experience within the Church. “There’s so much in the parish that you can’t learn from a textbook,” he said. In addition to the resources of the Diocese, he acknowledged that the seminarian program thrives not just on supportive prayers but also on encouraging young men to follow the path and consider entering the seminary.

Thanks to all who attended today’s meeting, and we look forward to seeing you on August 8 for our next Breakfast Meeting!
