With The Fleming Center packed with Catholic Business League members, as well as multiple generations of the Burnett family, we proudly presented Betty Lou Burnett, a founding member of the CBL, as our 2019 Catholic Professional of the Year.
In a speech that was humble and gracious, Betty Lou talked about the importance of faith in her and her family’s life, as well as her work as the Director of Pastoral Care at Holy Family Catholic Church.
“Take a few minutes, even just one minute, to begin your days with a prayer and a few breaths. Remember the gift that is life each morning,” she said, near the close of her speech.
With her husband, children and grandchildren in attendance, Betty Lou was certainly feeling grateful.
“It was our true honor to present Betty Lou with the designation of the Catholic Professional of the Year,” said CBL President Steve Horvath. “Between what she had done for this organization and for the Nashville Catholic community as a whole, we could never say thank you enough.”
