On a chilly early November morning, the Catholic Business League was honored to host Ann McGauran, the State Architect of Tennessee.

Ann enlightened the audience with a behind-the-scenes look at the work that her department is doing on behalf of the state of Tennessee. From blueprints of future projects to an in-depth look at their working budget, we were really allowed to see behind the curtain.

Ann reminded everyone in attendance that as residents of Tennessee who regularly pay sales tax, we are all “shareholders” in her business. Her department is funded primarily through sales tax dollars, so it was great to see the great work across our state that we are all fundamentally funding.
