A Well-Deserved Award for Bill Krueger

On Thursday morning, September 13, we had the pleasure of officially handing Mr. Bill Krueger his award for being our 2018 Catholic Professional of the Year.

Bill is an example to all in our community of what it means to be Catholic. He is driven, humble, and a man who prioritizes his faith and his family above all else.

Nearly 100 members of the Catholic Business League packed into the Cathedral of the Incarnation’s Fleming Center to watch Bill accept his award and to hear him speak.

In talking, Bill was overwhelmingly humble. Despite being the man of the hour, the Chairman of JATCO Americas mentioned numerous times that there are so many other individuals to whom he looks up to. One of these people is his wife, Lynn, who is the “driver of faith” in their household.

While many who meet Bill and hear about his accomplishments and successes in business define him by those attributes, Bill made it clear throughout his speech that his work as a professional, an executive and board member is merely secondary in his life. What defines him, he says, is his family, being a husband and a father, and being a Catholic. He says the Rosary daily and finds the time in his schedule to volunteer with numerous non-profits and educational institutes, including his alma mater, Marquette University, and Father Ryan High School, where his two sons attend and he serves as a Board Member.

To take a page from Bill’s playbook, it seems that if one focuses on what is truly important in life, the ancillary pieces will fall into place. Bill has accomplished a great deal in all arenas, and naming him our 2018 Catholic Professional of the Year was truly our honor.
