The Catholic Business League is excited to welcome Greg Pope, the new Chief Administrative Officer for the Diocese of Nashville, as the speaker for our Breakfast Meeting on Thursday, March 13th.

In addition to assisting Most Reverend J. Mark Spalding in all administrative responsibilities, Greg’s purview includes direct oversight of the diocese’s Financial, Communication, Development, Catholic Pastoral Center Facilities, Information Technology, and Human Resource functions.

A parishioner of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Franklin, Greg has been quite familiar with the diocese’s operations, as he has served on many campaigns and committees for several years: Development Committee (2018-2024), Catholic Foundation (2024), Catholic Charities (2017-2024), and Faith, Hope, and Love Capital Campaign (2021-2024). Since 2012, Greg has also been a volunteer member of the National Development Committee for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.

Prior to joining the diocese, Greg worked to shape and fulfill the Catholic mission of the Middle Tennessee healthcare system throughout his 29 years at Ascension Saint Thomas, most recently as Chief Mission Integration Officer (2014-2024). Greg helped found the Ascension Saint Thomas Clinical Pastoral Education program, assisted in the creation of the Dispensary of Hope, and is widely recognized for his Monday morning reflections and prayers.

The meeting begins at 7:45 a.m. in the Fleming Center at The Cathedral of the Incarnation. Mass is offered at 7:00 a.m.
