05.11.23 (Thursday) Nashville Catholic Radio, from the Perspective of a Local Radio Host

Details

Ron Fleitz, who became a radio host and producer after an extensive career in medical supply distribution, will be the featured speaker for the Catholic Business League Breakfast Meeting on Thursday, May 11.

Ron is a convert, a retired executive and he volunteers with several groups in the Nashville area. Among his volunteer organizations is Nashville Catholic Radio (WBOU). He will share the history and speak to the present of Nashville Catholic Radio, and he’ll offer a look into the future of what is becoming a great new ministry in our Diocese.

Radio took root in Ron when he was in high school and wanted to get into radio full time. He supported his college education by doing radio while attending Kent State University. Soon after college, he left radio to begin what would be a 50-year career in medical supply distribution, manufacturing and group purchasing. He is blessed that he went from driving the truck to Managing Director in this dynamic industry, including a position on the Health Industry Distributors Association Board of Directors.

Upon retirement, friends urged him to return to radio and join Nashville Catholic Radio. He hosts several programs, including “Around the Diocese” and “Faith in Business” (many CBL members have been guests). He also serves on the Board of Catholic Media Productions.

The meeting will begin at 7:45am in The Fleming Center at The Cathedral of the Incarnation. Mass is offered at 7:00am.

All are welcome!
